Jewish Women Around the World

Roth’s seminal work focuses on making women visible and capturing the lives of Jews. Beginning in the 1980’s she traveled around the world capturing the similarities and differences between Jewish women in different cultures and continents including Ethiopia, Yemen, India, Uzbekistan, Morocco, the former Soviet Union, and Ukraine. In addition, her portfolios include work on US Jewish women, women in Israel, and women in Ukraine, among others from the 1990s until today.
