Roth began her career taking portraits. Her portraits capture the essence of her subject. She has photographed renowned women all over the world from Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bater Ginsburg, and Dr. Ruth, to Holocaust survivors Luna Kaufman and Drora, who lives in Ukraine and is the only one in her family to survive Baba Yar. Her portrait of the first female rabbi in America Sally Prisend will soon be exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery - Smithsonian. Her photos tell the stories we all need to remember.
